Background. Nowadays the majority of managers of organizations have a clear understanding of the need for training and development of their own staff, which is a priority for success in achieving the goals, set by the organization’s objectives. Implementation of the process of intrafirm training for the vast majority of companies today has become not only one of the main tools to achieve their objectives and tasks, but also the norm and the need for a successful business nowadays. One of the main issues for organization’s management, conducting personnel training, was to identify the factors and criteria influencing the quality of the labour force in the process of this training, and effectiveness of personnel training. The aim of this paper is to understand the factors and criteria of improving the quality of labour force in the process of personnel training.
Materials and methods. Realization of the research objectives was achieved on the basis of the analysis of the process of personnel training in Russian companies. The evaluation model of the effectiveness of intrafirm training, designed by the American researcher D. Kirkpatrick was used.
Results. The authors suggest a system of factors and criteria of improving the quality of labour force in the process of personnel training and considered the impact of these factors on the quality of the labour force in the process of intrafirm training. The researchers suggest a model for calculation of the efficiency of intrafirm training based on the application of the above mentioned criteria. The scientists also introduce the notion of a «new quality of the labour force», the formation of which is the purpose of personnel training.
Conclusions. Organization and implementation of the intrafirm training sre intended for realization of the objectives of organizations regarding staff development. The use of factors and criteria of labour force quality improvement in the process of intrafirm training will help to develop personnel and to carry out the effectiveness assessment of intrafirm training by using the proposed criteria.
